Chinese White Dolphin Close-up. Characteristics, facts and information about this beautiful dolphin.

A group of Chinese white dolphins are filmed while following the path of a boat. The Sousa Chinensis chinensis are a kind of dolphins characterized by their color ranging from pink to white with some gray spots. Although many believe they are albinos or suffered some damage, it is certain that these dolphins are unique and very attractive to people who are able to meet them.

Their geographical location is very small; they can only be found in some parts of Southeast Asia down to Australia. Despite of having a very unique look, they are also very friendly with humans and perform the classic jumps out of water.

Pod of Chinese White Dolphins. Did you know about the Chinese White Dolphin?

Did you know about the Chinese White Dolphin? This species is characterized mainly by having a white or pink coloring, but they get this color when they reach maturity, since they birth with a dark color. They inhabit the China Seas and northern Australia. Lately this species has been classified as “Near Threatened”. While there has not been huge population damage as with other dolphin species, the disadvantage of the Chinese White Dolphin is that they inhabit a very small range of the ocean; therefore any loss of individuals affects their survival status and their genetic diversity.
