This sad video was made as tribute to a species that is close to extinction: the Yangtze River Dolphin, also known as Baiji. This species has even been classified as totally extinct since 2006, but there is still doubt, as several people from different regions have claimed to have seen some individuals, although this has not been confirmed. It is an invitation to become aware of our actions to realize that we are destroying the nature and our planet. How far the selfishness of man will get? How many species will become extinct before we take care of them?

Researchers from the BBC explore the waters of the Yangtze River in search of a single specimen of the Baiji River Dolphin. Although some fishermen and residents in the area claimed the presence of some individuals, the fact is that the expedition only proved that they are definitely extinct, mainly by the lack of solutions to keep them alive until it was too late. This river, remains polluted by industrial and agricultural waste so other species that live there are also at risk.

This video includes Chinese River Dolphin pictures with an informative audio in the background which tells us about the regrettable experience that this beautiful species went through that led them to the final extinction stage or even worse, the total extinction. The man tried to save this dolphin species by keeping them in captivity, however, the specimens died soon and failed to leave offspring, so there are no Baiji dolphins in conservation, which means that it is another species which has been taken to extinction by man.
