Bottlenose dolphins communicate through
several kinds of whistles and sounds.
They can even send identity
information through such whistles and an amount of information
still unknown to scientists.
What is already known is that
these whistles are used to coordinate the pod when hunting,
making feeding easier for them.
It is already known that dolphins
teach cultural knowledge to their kids for surviving and such
teaching could be transmitted through the different kinds of
communications that dolphins use.
They also use the burst pulsed
sounds to communicate, although there isn't scientific proof of
this.
